 -Graphic design is a simple process of visual communication through the effective use of typography, color, size images, textures etc.

Graphic designers can use symbols, texts or images to convey a message or idea.

It requires brainstorming and then developing an idea after that make it happen.

The world is now a visual place and everything around us is a graphic design

Graphic designers put type, image form on advertisements,posters and on packaging of goods.

Even printed media uses graphic design for magazines and newspaper to convey information.

It used in several places in social media applications, fast moving consumer goods, websites, blogs, packaging of goods etc.

Presently, graphic design is made using graphic design softwares like Serif orAdobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator etc. We see graphic design everywhere in website’s, Logo’s, magazines and newspaper etc.

Graphic design plays a crucial role in retail sector, as it tells the customer about the brand, it’s product.

Images can be drawn,painted or photographic.

Symbols are art of work which represents an idea or identity.

The logo is a symbol chosen by a company to identify its products & services.

A Logotype logo is a font based logo Which focuses on the business name alone. These logos work very well when a company has a distinct name.

For example, google the name itself is very attractive and catchy and helps in brand recognition.

It means when image(pictures, photographs) and words(typography) put together.

It focuses on the client’s message to the audience or viewers.

It is the duty of the designer to create a balance between the image and type.

4- Type based

In type based graphic design the designers have to depend on words to convey the information. The visual forms of the message or letters whether typography or handmade does help in communicating. It helps in getting attention on the product or on the poster.

A point is the most basic and important element of graphic designing.

It is represented by a dot.

2-Line

 A Line is a connection between two points.

It is another essential element of graphic designing.

Lines can be Horizontal,Vertical,Diagonal or Curved.

The lines can help to create visual influence.

3-Shape

 A shape is a geometrical figure such as a triangle, rectangle, square, circle etc which is created by combining lines. The shape is the second most important element. Shapes are interactive in nature which means it can attract viewers.

4-Typography

Typography is the essence of graphic designing.

It is the style and appearance of written words which looks appealing when displayed.

The fonts play very importantly in typography.

5-Colors

Colors play an important role in graphic designing.

Colors are the most influential element for graphic design followed by shapes and symbols.

Colors can help companies to create a color strategy for them.

All the colors say something for example:

Red: Energy,Joy,Power,Leadership, Passion.

Blue: Security, Trust Worthy, Wisdom, Trust, Friendliness, Stability.

TYPES OF COLORS

• Warm colors – Those colors that has positivity like red, orange and yellow.
• Cool colors – Those colors that has soothing in nature like green,violet and blue.
• Neutral colors – Those colors which do not have a name like white, cream, grey, natural wood and ivory etc.

6-Space

Space is the distance or area or space between two objects.

Space is the area which is occupied by a form or shape.

Negative space is the space which is empty or surrounded by an object in an image.

7-Size

Size is how much larger or smaller something is like words, shape, symbols etc.

It helps in highlighting what is most important.

8-Image

An image is a very essential element of graphic design.

Images can be of three types:

Paintings, Illustrations, and photographs.

9-Texture

It refers to the way a surface looks or feels. Using textures in graphic design it can help to attract the interest of viewers. Textures are nothing but solid background which when looked close differences can be seen or noticed. It may look like smoothness, and roughness etc.
