The Google December 2022 Helpful Content Update started on December 5th and got fully rolled out on January 12th, taking a total of 38 days.
Note: In the Official update it was said that it would take upto two weeks to get fully rolled out but it took longer than that.
Reminder: This Google update is a site-wide signal.
It targets websites that have an excessively large volume of unsatisfactory or useless content that was originally written for search engines.
By the help of this update, it is for easier for Google’s systems to identify new types of low-quality content being produced primarily for search engines rather than for humans.

Rollout Duration: It will take about two weeks to completely roll out.
Targets: It prioritises content made to serve humans over content intended to score highly in search.
Search Only: Currently, this solely affects Google Search and has no effect on Google Discover or any other Google surfaces.
However, Google might eventually add Discover and other services to this.
Sitewide: This is a sitewide algorithm, so the whole site will be impacted by this update.
Global and all languages: This update is no longer just for English-language content, it is now all languages and global.
