Below is a summary of the early feedback and data on this algorithm update, which was released less than 24 hours ago.
Keep in mind that we hope to see more in the coming days, but I wanted to share some of the initial feedback on the impact of this November core update 2021.
There has been a lot of recent discussion, largely regarding the timing of this update, but some people are already reporting significant traffic shifts on their own or client’s sites.

SEO Chatter On November 2021 Core Update
Below are some quotes from WebmasterWorld and BlackHatWorld, threads based on this new Google November core update 2021:
I believe new sites have grace period until backlinks become more relevant. About the core update, I am not seeing anything major yet but there are movements.
SEMrush 9.2 in UK today (was only 6.0 yesterday). Brace yourselves!
10% down today compared to Last Week…
Huge drop today. I can only wait for the progress of this update…
Disable ad campaigns, don’t throw money away
Add me to the list of those down 30% as well. Well, at least for my biggest site. My other sites seem relatively unaffected.
Curious how we all tend to fall the same amount…
Google’s Guidance Regarding Broad Core algorithm Update are as follows:
- Expect widespread repercussions, such as increases or decreases in search rankings.
- Core updates are “wide” in nature so they don’t focus on a specific issue.
Rather, they’re intended to improve Google’s entire systems. - Pages that drop in rankings aren’t being penalized; instead they’re being reassessed against other web content that has been published since the last update.
- The easiest method to deal with the impact of a core algorithm upgrade is to focus on creating the greatest possible content.
- Every few months, the core is updated. Some sites may not be able to recover from one update until the next one is released.
Do not panic when you saw any changes, just wait for the rollout to get completed and then see whether you have violated guidelines of Google or not?
And then take actions accordingly.
